What is Reiki ?
Reiki is a safe, simple and effective method of natural healing and self-improvement, that works well in conjunction with other treatments or therapies. Reiki is a human touch that conveys warmth, serenity, caring love and healing.
Reiki is the one-word descriptive name for an Art of Natural Healing which was developed about one hundred years ago in Japan by Dr. Mikao Usui. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - "rei" which means both universal in the sense of omnipresent and all-encompassing, and also spiritual wisdom. And "ki" which is
life force energy; the vital life force within everything alive. Reiki can be translated as "spiritually guided life force ".
Reiki energy finds it own path to wherever the body needs it. As a Reiki Master I use my hands to help comfort and activate universal energy and awaken a recipient's ability to contribute to their own healing process. Reiki is a way of experiencing healing energy in daily life, it restores health and harmony to the body, mind, heart and soul. Reiki is not a religion or belief system, it is about focusing and directing energy to accelerate a body’s own holistic ability to self-heal physically, emotionally and spiritually.
